ABOUT US

Bantu Incorporated NFP (Not-for Profit) is a 501 (c)3 community organization with the mission to assist children, youth and people in low-income families with school assistance, food, clothes and shelter.
​
OUR GOAL: Our goal is to uplift families by providing them with free meals, clothing, shelter, charitable donations, free school supplies, bus passes, workshops, free classes, job/trade readiness and programs that will educate and prepare them to the social and work life.
​
​
VISION: In alignment with our Mission and Purpose— “Bantu” meaning “the People” and by us understanding that the youth are tomorrows’ leaders’--Our vision ultimately is to open youth centers and community centers in Chicago, and other US cities and abroad where needed. These centers will be a hub/home for families, young adults and children providing them with free meals, shelters, clothing, very affordable tutoring of school subjects; of the arts, sciences; business; entrepreneurship programs and programs assisting low-income families with school assistance; obtaining summer jobs, and to develop professional skills.

Bantu Incorporated NFP also produces Bantu Fest (in partnership with Bantu Entertainment) which is the biggest community cultural festival in Chicago, with over 50,000 people attending the festival every year. With participants from 50 countries, and food from over 30 different countries, Bantu Fest has become the biggest multi-cultural and family festival in the mid-west.

The festival was founded with the goal to bring thousands of families together to play, eat, dance and enjoy good family entertainment - all with Love & Peace.
